What is pee made of anyways?

Urine is mostly water, about 95%, actually. This is surprising, yes, being that it can smell really bad at times.

The purpose of pee is to expel waste.

That remaining 5% contains urea, a byproduct of protein metabolism.

In addition there are salts, electrolytes and small amounts of creatinine, ammonia and other waste compounds.
